RETURNS & WARRANTY
Last updated: 6 September 2026
Every Lakara piece is inspected before dispatch. This Policy explains Lakara’s standard return and manufacturing-defect assessment process. It does not exclude or restrict any right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer law.
1. STANDARD RETURN POSITION
Except where mandatory law requires otherwise, Lakara does not offer a voluntary change-of-mind return for a correct, non-defective product. A return may be accepted for a new product with a confirmed manufacturing defect, an incorrect item supplied by Lakara, or damage that is confirmed to have occurred before or during delivery.
A product must be assessed before Lakara confirms that it qualifies for repair, replacement, refund or another applicable remedy.
2. WHAT MAY BE A MANUFACTURING DEFECT?
A manufacturing defect is an issue attributable to the original production of the product, such as a confirmed defect in construction, clasp operation, original stone setting or original application of the plated finish. The existence of damage alone does not establish a manufacturing defect.
3. WHAT IS NOT NORMALLY A MANUFACTURING DEFECT?
- Normal wear and tear or gradual change to a plated surface.
- Scratches, dents, bending, deformation, crushing, impact or dropping after delivery.
- Damage caused by pulling, excessive force, incorrect use, unsuitable sizing or improper storage.
- Exposure to perfume, cosmetics, creams, household cleaners or other chemicals.
- Damage associated with water, seawater, chlorine, pools, spas, excessive heat, humidity, exercise or sleeping in the jewelry.
- Use of abrasive cleaners, brushes, polishing compounds or unsuitable chemicals.
- Loss or damage to stones caused by impact, deformation or another external force.
- Repair, resizing, replating, alteration or modification performed by a third party.
- Intentional damage or damage unrelated to the original manufacturing process.
Individual assessment is required. If a third-party alteration prevents Lakara from determining the original condition or cause, a claim under Lakara’s voluntary policy may be declined, without affecting rights that cannot legally be excluded.
4. HOW TO REQUEST AN ASSESSMENT
Before sending anything, email info@lakara.shop with your name, order number or proof of purchase, a description of the issue and clear photographs where relevant. Contact us as soon as reasonably possible after discovering a problem.
Please keep the product, its original packaging and proof of purchase while the request is reviewed. Do not send a product to the return address until Lakara provides return instructions or confirms that the return should be sent.
5. CONDITION OF RETURNED PRODUCTS
For Lakara’s standard manufacturing-defect process, the product should be new and unused except to the minimum extent reasonably necessary to inspect it. Products showing wear, contamination, alteration or unrelated damage may not qualify unless mandatory law requires a remedy in the particular circumstances.
6. RETURN ADDRESS
After a return has been authorised, Lakara may direct the parcel to:
LAKARA Returns
66 Gemopolis Industrial Estate
22 Sukhaphiban 2 Soi 31
Dok Mai, Prawet
Bangkok 10250, Thailand
The return authorisation may contain additional carrier or packaging instructions. An unapproved parcel may be delayed or refused because Lakara cannot safely identify or process it.
7. RETURN SHIPPING
Where Lakara confirms an incorrect item, transit damage for which Lakara is responsible, or a manufacturing defect, Lakara will arrange or reimburse reasonable return shipping where appropriate and as required by law. In other circumstances, return costs may be the customer’s responsibility. Use a traceable service unless Lakara arranges the collection directly.
8. ASSESSMENT AND REMEDIES
Lakara will inspect the product and communicate the assessment outcome. If a qualifying problem is confirmed, the appropriate remedy may include repair, replacement, refund or another solution required by law. Replacement depends on product availability. If an identical in-stock replacement is unavailable, Lakara will contact the customer about the available solution.
9. REFUNDS
An approved refund will normally be initiated to the original payment method. The time taken for funds to appear after initiation is controlled by the bank, card issuer or payment provider and may vary by method and country. This does not extend a refund deadline imposed by applicable law.
10. PRODUCT APPEARANCE, SIZE AND STONES
Screen settings, photography and lighting can affect how colors appear. Different sizes or production tolerances may result in reasonable differences in stone count, stone size, placement, proportions or other small details while preserving the overall design. These disclosed variations are not by themselves defects. A material failure to match the agreed product remains subject to applicable law.
11. PRIVATE AND CUSTOM ORDERS
Private, personalised, engraved, resized, specially sourced or custom-made orders may have specific return conditions agreed directly with the customer. Those conditions do not exclude remedies for a confirmed manufacturing defect or other rights that cannot legally be excluded.
